How do I enroll my child in Summer Camp 2010?

Is there a minimum number of classes that students need to enroll in?

In order to accommodate various schedules, the classes are flexible and modular to allow students to pick and choose the particular class they are interested in. Students may enroll in as many classes as they desire as long as their schedule allows them to attend each session. The classes that students enroll in don't even have to be in consecutive time slots. We want to best meet our students' needs.

If my child takes more than one session for the same subject, how do you deal with new and returning students?

For each session, we will be covering different concepts so that a new student coming into session 2 or 3 will not feel that they are behind or left out. As for the student that is taking the same subject over multiple sessions, he or she will have the advantage of covering more concepts in their entering grade. The more sessions a student takes, the more he or she will have an advantage when the school year comes around.

Does Berkeley Academics offer preparation for standardized tests?

Yes. Through our private tutoring program, we tutor individuals in preparation for standardized tests such as the ISEE entrance exam and the SAT test. The tools students will learn through the core verbal and math classes are designed to equip students for all future standardized tests they will be taking.
