Emily Kim

Emily teaches a variety of classes at San Lorenzo High School, such as Honors American Literature, World Literature and Women in Literature. She previously served as the AVID study skills program coordinator and is currently the literary magazine advisor and the Link Crew mentoring program coordinator.

Daryl Wong

Daryl is be a sixth-grade teacher at Musick Elementary School. Prior, Daryl was a sixth-grade teacher at Tabernacle School. He was an instructor for the Mad Science Academic Enrichment Program at Amelia Earhart and Bay Farm elementary schools. In addition, he worked as an instructor and camp counselor for CyberCamps Robotics. His tutoring experience includes employment at Kumon and Oakland Academic Student Educational Services (OASES).

Julie Oh

Julie is currently teaching kindergarten at Kennedy Elementary School. She has worked as a student teacher at Malcolm X Elementary School in Berkeley and as a second-grade teacher in the Summer School Enrichment Program in Albany. In addition, she was a mentor for a non-profit organization (ImpACT).

Jully Yi

Jully is currently teaching at Castro Valley High. Jully was a Teaching Assistant at UC Berkeley for General and Organic Chemistry. She won the National Chemistry Student of the Year Award in 1997. Other awards include the Erna Seegar Teaching Award and the Phi Delta Kappa Teaching Award and UC Berkeley Alumni Association Leadership award for teaching. For the last three years, Jully has worked as a consultant for Sun Microsystems, eBay, and Chevron Texaco

Frances Kim

Frances is currently teaching second grade at Milani Elementary School. She was one of the founders of the Krayola Art Enrichment Program, which implements art courses in elementary schools that do not offer art. She was also an instructional associate for the Academic Talent Development Program at UC Berkeley. She has worked as a student teacher for various Bay Area elementary schools and as a tutor for Oakland Academic Student Educational Services (OASES) and Project College Bound.

Debbie Kim

Debbie taught at Tabernacle School as a fourth grade teacher. She worked as an English teacher at WL-CABS, a non-profit organization in Central Asia, and tutored for Malcolm X Middle School.

Kevin Jeung

Kevin is currently enrolled in UC Berkeley's Developmental Teacher Education program to obtain his MA and credential. He served as an Afterschool Instructor at John Muir Elementary School. He has experience working as a student teacher at Washington Elementary School and Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School, and has also served as a mentor for Willard Middle School's Youth Support Program. He was a Teaching Assistant at UC Berkeley for the Interdepartmental Studies department.

Sean Guo

Sean has tutored students in various subjects including AP Physics, AP Calculus, and Chemistry. He was a member of the Illinois' math all-star team in the American Regions Math League (ARML) competing in the 2002 national competition in Iowa City. He came in 9th place in a national United States Chess Federation tournament in 2001 in Rockford, Illinois. In the 2002 National Panasonic Academic Bowl Tournament, Sean was on the 2nd place team. Sean was on the Top-16 Team Illinois in the 2002 National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C. Sean will be starting Law School in the fall at UC Hastings.

Joshua Wang

Josh was a Teacher Assistant for an AP English class at O'Connell High School of Technology. He led a small group reading instruction time to enhance verbal comprehension at Hawthorne Whitton Elementary School. His tutoring experience includes after school tutoring at Castlemont High School and Oakland Asian Students Educational Services (OASES) at Lincoln Elementary School.

Esther Wang

As a high school senior, Esther was a teacher assistant for AP Calculus. Her experience in teaching includes being a co-facilitator for a core education class on the Cal campus, where she led discussions and came up with dynamic lesson plans to teach current issues in education. This past school year, she was an in-class volunteer at Willard Middle School for seventh grade math, sixth grade math and science, and sixth grade English and History. Her tutoring experience includes Berkeley School Volunteer (BSV) and Oakland Asian Student Education Services (OASES).

Ulia Oh

Ulia is currently working as a writing tutor at Cal State University: East Bay. Ulia was a tenth grade world literature and world history teacher at Chinese Christian School. She was also an eleventh grade student-teacher for AP English and Sheltered English at Encinal High School.

Jennifer Noh

Jennifer Noh is a rising Senior at University of California at Berkeley majoring in Rhetoric with an emphasis of Public Discourse, and minoring in Education. She has tutored and taught for Elementary and Junior High verbal and math classes at Elite Educational Institution for three summers. She also has tutoring experience in reading comprehension and writing at Kumon in inner city Oakland.

She was in the Clorox F&A rotational management program and has had a wide range of exposure in the public and private sectors of finance and accounting. She has also been working closely with college students with a UC Berkeley campus group for the last 10 years.

Susanna is the Writing/Critical Reading/Study Skills Specialist and Asian American Retention Coordinator for the Learning Skills Center at the University of California, Davis. She has six years of experience teaching English and history to high school and middle school students in the public school system. In addition, she has two years of experience as a writing consultant and academic counselor at the college level.
