Our program encourages students to complete their homework and retain lessons immediately after school. Through personal interaction and small group study, our tutors will be able to evaluate your student's strengths and weaknesses and work with him/her to improve his/her proficiency in each subject area.

Word Power!
Using a variety of learning and memorization techniques, students will build an extensive vocabulary. Words will be ingrained through drilling, writing, testing, and visual aids. Students will not only memorize but also learn to use words in the correct context.
Critical Reading
Students will be equipped with effective critical reading skills. Reading through a wide variety of excerpts taken from different genres, students will strengthen their analytical abilities through answering multiple questions on the excerpts. Students will learn to identify both main points and specific details within the text.
Math Whiz
Practice makes perfect. Through drilling and supplemental worksheets, students will enhance speed and accuracy. With assistance from tutors, each student will work at his or her own pace to target areas that need improvement.
Essay Writing Lab
Learning how to write an effective multiple-paragraph essay is an essential skill for future academic success. In this course, students will learn how to arrange paragraphs to develop an idea, with attention to the following components: unity, coherence, sentence fluency, transitional devices, brainstorming, outlining and logical progression. At Berkeley Academics, we believe that with immediate instructor feedback and through a multiple revision process, students will improve their writing and receive necessary grammar, usage, style, and word choice assistance.
